"I don't want to kill you, not anymore." He said, coming to face me. "I want to be with you. I want to hold you and touch you and--" He exhaled. "I. Want. You."
Violet Ashton is an exemplary angel with ninety-nine kills under her belt.
Nothing could make her underestimate herself until she's sent to hunt down Death, one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. Or as Violet knows him--Lucas Cross, her ex-mentor and ex-lover. Defining the line between what her job requires and what her heart wants is the hardest decision she's ever had to make.
Lucas Cross is an angel turned demon.
The only thing he had to worry about was helping his brothers end the world, that was until Violet blew into town. From the moment he saw her again his normal self has fought hard to keep down the demon that desperately wants to kill her. Torn between love and hate, Lucas is determined to push all of Violet's limits.
The feud between the Never Dark realm and The Underworld is at boiling point and if Violet can't complete her mission Earth will pay the ultimate price.

REVIEW:
Seriously. This book really, really, really reminds me of Rose and Dimitri of Vampire Academy series of Richelle Mead. I daresay that because it was somehow similar when Dimitri turned Strigoi and then that Rose wants him dead in a way because she said that would be what Dimitri wants. And in the end Rose couldn't kill him not because for the lack of trying, it's just that the guy is seriously stronger than her because he is her mentor.

Another similarity with VA is that Lucas is, or should I say was Violet's mentor when she became an Angel. He trained her to fight so they know the capabilities each other got.

I am saying all of these, not because I was annoyed that it has similarities with the series I love so much. I liked it. Although it shouldn't make me remind of another book, because I dunno, it's like there's no real personality or impression if it's the same with other book, you know?

Anyway, I liked it because there is so much going on and I love the fighting skills. I liked how the story was told, in both POVs but sometimes it's a bit confusing. But yeah, I quite liked it. The 1 star minus would be because it reminds me of another book (still don't know if that is a plus or a minus), the part where sometimes, Violet is such a sissy. lol. She annoyed me a bit but not really a lot of times.

I wonder what would happen to the next book... I look forward to reading it! :)
