Caught between life and death, all Callie wants is to live again.
Homicide detective Callie Saunders knows that death isn’t all pearly gates and angels. After being hit by a bus, she finds that it's the ancient gods and goddesses of Greek mythology who are in charge of everything.
So when Hades offers her a deal, she accepts. If she wants to be brought back to life, she’ll have to figure out who is trying to kill his son. But if she fails, both her soul and the world will be destroyed.
With the odds mounting against her, it’ll take everything she has within her to wake up from death. But the rules are constantly changing. And someone wants her to stay dead.
Tour Stop of Death is But A Dream! Thanks to Xpresso Book Tours! Okay... I love anything Greek Myths. I enjoyed reading them. So this one is something up in my alley, never mind that it is an Adult book.

I liked the plot of this story. It's mysterious and definitely interesting. I liked that it is about Hades. I mean, stories about Hades are not always used in Myths. It's always about Underworld but not about Hades and his family. Honestly? I didn't know if what the author told us in the book is true. I kinda agreed that Hades is not capable of it. But that is what I liked about it. I love the way it was told. That if his son was murdered successfully then the balance of the world will be tipped.
“Well, one's blind and crippled, the other is actively hunting the two of us.”
Back when I watched the TV series, Hercules and Xena: The Warrior Princess, I LOVED Zeus. He's my favorite Greek God. I actually didn't care if the Gods, especially Zeus, impregnate mortal women. But as I keep on reading Mythology based novels, I liked him way less. I do agree now that Zeus is a bit of an asshole (yes, I know, he is a big of an asshole but I still kinda like him. lol). He did things without really thinking it through. And in here it shows that he is still an asshole. Actually, all Gods and Goddess are. They got their inner bitchiness too.
“You boinked him, didn't you?”
Callie is an awesome character, I love her. She's strong, responsible, kick-ass and a smart woman. Whereas, Plutus (Hades' son), is a bit of a so-so character. I don't swoon over him like what I usually do with other male MC in other books. And no, it's not because of his... ah, disabilities. I'm not that shallow. It's just that he is not a swoon worthy kind of guy or well, God. I think I swoon more with Ares. Lol.
“You're the Queen of the Gods, Hera, and you're going to take shit from your lying, backstabbing husband?”
Another character I loved is Tisiphone. Guess, it's nuff said. Just read it. Lol. Definitely worth your time. BUT if you are looking for a smut in here (because it's categorized as ADULT), then you are in for a disappointment. I'm a bit disappointed myself with the smut. lol. It's almost... non-existent. Yep. Still, I really liked this one. I recommend it to all the fans of Greek Mythologies stories! It's good for Teens too even if there are explicit language. I think most teens reads novels with those kinds of language anyways. YA or NA got that language too. So yeah.
